Drain Cleaning in Mesa, AZ

Drain cleaning means getting the grease, hair, soap scum, roots and debris out of the pipes that carry water away from your house. The Plumbing Dr. opens bathroom, kitchen, floor and main line drains across Mesa and the East Valley, most of them the same day, and the price is agreed before anything starts.

A drain that has started to slow down will not recover on its own, and a full stoppage certainly will not. Clearing only enough of a clog to get water moving again buys a few weeks at best. We take the pipe back to its full diameter, with a cable or with hydro jetting depending on what is in there, so it stays open. If the same drain keeps blocking, a sewer camera inspection shows us the underlying reason instead of us guessing at it again next month.

Drains we clear

  • Kitchen sink and garbage disposal drains (grease and food)
  • Bathroom sink, tub, and shower drains (hair and soap scum)
  • Toilet and floor drains
  • Main sewer line and mainline clogs
  • Laundry and utility drains
  • Outdoor and patio area drains
  • Recurring clogs, with camera inspection included

Plenty of housing stock in Mesa, Tempe and central Phoenix is old enough to still be draining through cast iron and clay, and those materials scale on the inside and split at the joints while mature trees work roots into the gaps. The newer subdivisions out in Gilbert, Chandler and Queen Creek drain through ABS or PVC, which handles debris better but is no match for cooking grease or a wipe the box called flushable. On top of all of it, our mineral content leaves a lining that narrows the pipe a little more every year. We carry both a cable machine and a jetter so the tool suits the pipe rather than the other way round.

Financing available for qualified buyers through Wisetack.

Offered as a payment option on your invoice once the work is done.

Signs You Need a Drain Cleaning

Checkmark icon

Water Pools & Drains Slowly

In the sink, tub, or shower, usually a partial clog building up.

Checkmark icon

Gurgling Sounds

Air trapped behind a blockage, often a sign the main line is involved.

Checkmark icon

Bad Smells From the Drain

Trapped debris and bacteria, or a dry trap letting sewer gas through.

Checkmark icon

Multiple Fixtures Backing Up

That's the main line. Don't wait; a mainline backup floods the lowest fixtures in the house.

Also common

  • Toilet bubbling when the shower drains
  • Water backing up in the tub when the washer drains

If more than one fixture is affected, call right away. Mainline backups get expensive fast, and same-day service is prioritized.

OUR PROCESS

01

Call & Diagnose

Usually same day. We locate the blockage and what caused it, and if it keeps returning a camera tells us why.

02

Quote & Clear the Line

Once you okay a flat price, the pipe gets opened end to end, by cable or by jetter, according to what is in there.

03

Test & Cover

We run water through it, tidy up behind us, and cover the job for two years.

What our customers say

Speedy fix of drain cog. Thanks!

Chris K.

Both times I’ve had the Plumbing Dr. come out from my home warranty service they were very friendly and helpful. Luis came today and was able to diagnose the problem with my toilet quickly and fixed it right away. Luckily it was an easy fix! The snake tool unclogged the line and the toilet flushes properly now. He also explained some things about toilets I didn’t know before so when I shop for a new toilet I will have better knowledge.

How much is drain cleaning in Mesa?

Pricing depends on what the job actually needs, so we look first and quote second. You get a written price in hand before we pick up a tool, and that number does not move once we start. Whatever we do is covered by our two-year workmanship warranty. If it is a larger project, Wisetack financing shows up as a payment option on your invoice once the work is finished. Call (480) 735-9020 and we will tell you what we already know about jobs like yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our services and process. If you can't find your answer, feel free to reach out to our team.

Most single-fixture clogs are cleared in under an hour. We prioritize same-day service during business hours, Monday through Friday 7 to 5.

We'd rather you didn't. Chemical cleaners rarely clear a real clog, they damage older pipes, and they make the job more hazardous when we open the line. A plunger is fine; chemicals aren't.

Recurring clogs usually mean buildup, grease, roots, a damaged pipe, or a deeper blockage in the line. We run a camera on recurring clogs so we can fix the cause instead of clearing the symptom every few months.

Cabling (snaking) cuts through a clog mechanically. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the entire pipe wall clean. Cabling handles most everyday clogs; jetting is for grease, scale, roots, and recurring problems.

Yes. Restaurants, offices, apartment communities, and other commercial properties across the East Valley, including grease line maintenance.
